CAN CAU – THE LARGEST BUFFALO MARKET IN LAO CAI (Saturday)

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:
The market sells the most livestock, especially buffalo. Going to the market is not to buy goods but to exchange culture with people living along the Vietnam-China border.
Check-in at milestone 171 at the confluence of the Chay River, the border marker between Vietnam and China.

TIME:
Every Saturday, from 8 am to 5 pm

DETAILED PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
6:00 am: Car and tour guide pick you up at your hotel or motel. Take guests out to breakfast.
8:00 am: The group moves to Bac Ha town center and then continues to Can Cau market, about 20 km from Bac Ha.

8:30 am: You arrive at Can Cau market. A place to meet and exchange goods of the H’Mong people. The market is divided into 2 areas, above is the people’s market, and below is the largest livestock market in Lao Cai province, mainly buffaloes with hundreds of black buffalos standing throughout the large area.

10:30: You visit milestone 171, Vietnam – China border at the confluence of the Chay River, in Nan San commune, Si Ma Cai, Lao Cai. Then continue moving to Ta Van Chu commune. At Ta Van Chu, you can visit Say’house in Su Man Khang village, a Hmong house as beautiful as a movie set.

12:00: Have lunch and enjoy local specialties
13:30: You return to Bac Ha and continue the program to Sa Pa
